Is this the worst footpath in Beverley and Holderness?
25th February 2010
|
The Liberal Democrats' candidate for Beverley and Holderness for the General Election, Dr Craig Dobson, has been finding out about some of the problems faced by residents in the constituency.
During a visit to Thorngumbald, he was shown a section of the footpath alongside the busy A1033 at Bridge Bungalows that has been completely destroyed by traffic. Local resident, Mrs Janet Selkirk pointed out the section of the footpath to Dr Dobson, who said, "There can be no doubt that this section of the footpath is very dangerous for pedestrians and is completely impassable for anyone who is disabled or who has a baby buggy. I will be taking the matter up with the Highways Department to demand that action is taken urgently to correct this problem. The picture shows Mrs Janet Selkirk and Dr Craig Dobson where the footpath has been destroyed. |

Craig Dobson - What I want for Holderness
Holderness is an attractive part of the world in which to live and work. I want to keep it that way. But to do that, we have to make sure that the economy of the area is strengthened and we also have to address some particular problems that Holderness faces, in the local economy; agriculture; rural services; renewable energy; flooding and coastal erosion.. amongst others.
